We slept in late, 9am today, after a late night. After breakfast Nancy enjoyed a relaxing and luxurious facial and Katie was treated to her first pedicure at the Spa on the ship and both enjoyed the pampering. We then went into the old town of Corfu. Corfu was controlled by a number of powers over the years, most notably the Venetians. It has a number of old forts that were used for protection. We took a taxi to the “old fort”, which sits at the base of the town. It contains this Greek Style church and interior fortifications.
I walked to the top of the fortification and took these pictures of the town and our ship (with the Crown Princess) behind it.
We then walked the short distance into town where we used an internet café to launch the last blog, before taking a taxi back to the ship.
After a nap, we went to a poolside Greek barbeque on the Lido deck, which was followed in the evening by a pool side dance party.
Katie went off to the Loft for the evening teen activity….
Tonight the group ended up going to the night club called Northern Lights for a dance night. We only had a half hour there though, so we danced as much as we could. Afterwards, we all had a choice to either go to the Tech room and watch some video or just go off on our own. I decided to go off with another group to walk around the boat. We went and watched the dance party grandma and grandpa were at and then we headed to the Lido Restaurant to just chill out for the rest of the night. Fun and relaxed night for me (:
Every evening when we come back to the cabin we are greeted by another towel creature.
