Thur–June 21st Cephalonia Greece

We woke up early today, as we had to meet at 7:50am for an 8:00AM TOUR.   This was our only Holland America tour of the cruise, all the others have been or will be on our own or with a a private company.   It reminded us why we don’t tend to go on the ship ones anymore, as it is a full bus, with lots of driving for mediocre stops.  This one took us all over the island.

We saw a lake that was underground, but is a little more exposed with the collapse of the caves roof. You walk down into the cave, where they put you in a boat and row you around for ten minutes. Nice, but not worth the effort to get there. Stephan was our boats man, and took everyone’s pictures.

We then drove over to a small sea side village, that was used in the movie Captain Cornelius's Mandolin.  We had a drink, used the Wi-Fi, and looked around town, including at this interesting carved dragon.

The town had lots of flowers for Terry!!!

On the way back to the ship we stopped for a photo op of this gorgeous beach.

Finally, back to the ship which was docked in the main town of Argostoli.

We had lunch back on the ship.   Nancy and I went to the movie WE, about Wallis Simpson; while Katie went for a swim with her friends in one of the pools.   Afterward we went to the Lido buffet for dinner, and then to the musical put on by the staff.

After the show, Katie….

The Loft was having a movie night, so after the musical I went up to the Lido Pool to meet up with some friends then we all headed to the Loft. We watched 21 Jump Street and then the Zookeeper came on but we all decided to just go to the Lido Restaurant to eat and socialize. I pretty much spent the rest of the night in there with them and even met some more new people (: fun night again!
